Birthday Donuts!

Me and December celebrated my 24th Birthday with a couple of Birthday donuts that she picked out.

As you can see she snuck a couple of bites while we were at the store.

It took us a while to blow out the candles because she picked trick candles. Eventually they just combined into a huge unextinguishable flame.

Kirt Updates

Kirt is doing really well, however the homesickness has set in. He is absolutely positive that this is what he needs to do, and I feel the exact same way. He has a really good group of friends and his battle buddy's name is Cabe Jensen. Two weeks ago he learned combat first aid. He also had to give and recieve IV's. He did really well but he said some of the other guys weren't so lucky and ended up getting poked a lot. He passed all of his medical tests! He also passed his PT test and ended up 8th! He did Awesome! As a reward he was able to have a five minute call!

This last week they have been camping out in the field. He really missed his fishing pole and his dogs. They worked on there marksmanship with there "cool guns" and zeroing there sights on targets. He is learning alot and having a lot of fun. He said it was probably alot like girls camp but there were some "Girly Men" that had a hard time handling it. They don't get a lot of personal time so he doesn't get to write often or have time to write more than half a page. One of his friends is going home because he couldn't handle the stress of the military. They are sad to see him go. They said he was a spiritual giant at 5' 3". He also recieved a church calling, what it is I don't know, But he is excited. Unfortunately he said that he is going to have to stay and extra 2-3 weeks. Something to do with AIT scheduling. So this will put him back around the 22nd of Sept. I told cembi he would be back on her birthday and she is absolutely convinced so I am not sure how to tell her it will be another month? I am now kinda fearing her birthday, we may have to pretend it is a month later. All is well here and we are having fun! We keep busy with horses, gardening, and writing letters and painting pictures for daddy. She has written him a couple of books. one was "My Rarr Rar" and the other was "Mommy horsee and baby horsee". She might just grow up to be a writer someday. Thankyou all for your support and prayers! We are in good hands so don't worry! Have fun and enjoy the weather! It is not everyday that it rains! It has been wonderful!
